For Chattahoochee Hills students Getting from Chatt Hills to class in Duluth
Classes are not held anywhere in Chattahoochee Hills. The Academy meets at 3250 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Ste 201, in Duluth, which is in Gwinnett County. Check the route from your own road before you pay anything.
The city is built from historic crossroad communities, Rivertown, Rico, County Line/Redwine, Goodes and Friendship, plus newer places such as the Crossroads and Cedar Grove communities, Rico Lake and Serenbe. Your starting point among them changes which road reaches a highway first. Open the directions link, replace the general Chattahoochee Hills origin with your own road, and check the route at the hour you would leave on a class morning.
Armed course students should know that range qualification is not at the Duluth classroom. Each Bookeo date lists its own range details. If timing is a worry, call 678-878-3152 and ask for the session hours on the date you are considering before the deposit goes through.
Security work in a rural, intentional city
Chattahoochee Hills incorporated on June 19, 2007, after a year-long referendum effort led by residents, and the city's site still calls it a place of intention. Much of it is open land, with logging activity notices and a barn quilt trail on the city pages. Security work here looks different from a downtown post: properties are spread out, buildings sit far apart and an officer may patrol alone, so observation, radio discipline and written reports matter even more.
Serenbe, a New Urbanism village with entrances on Hutcheson Ferry Road and Atlanta Newnan Road, has three hamlets: Selborne for visual and culinary arts, Grange with an agricultural theme and Madoa focused on health and healing. Serenbe's site lists an inn, restaurants, weddings, conferences and retreats, and annual events such as a fall trail race and a holiday market. Settings like that involve guest arrivals, event perimeters and overnight property checks.
Under its business section the city also handles film production and special event permits and promotes a Camera Ready City listing. Film sets, private events and rural venues can bring in security to watch equipment, closed areas and visitor access. The 24-hour Unarmed course teaches the patrol, access control and reporting skills those assignments call for.
